Day 1

Altitude gain: 400 m
Ascent time: 2–3 hours
Meeting point: Gressoney Staffal lift ticket office – equipment check and briefing.

After meeting the guide and getting everything ready, we take the lifts up to Punta Indren (3,270 m) — the true gateway to Monte Rosa.
From here, we begin our ascent on foot, crossing the glacier to reach the Capanna Gnifetti Hut (3,647 m) in about 2.5 hours.

Along the way, the landscape opens up in all its high-altitude beauty: snowfields, towering peaks, and the quiet power of the mountain.
We arrive at the hut in the afternoon, with time to relax, enjoy a warm dinner, and spend the night surrounded by silence and stars.

Day 2

Altitude gain: 1,300 m
Ascent time: 6–8 hours

An early wake-up call, a hearty breakfast, and we set off from either Capanna Gnifetti or, depending on availability, another nearby hut.
With crampons on and roped in, we begin the ascent across the glacier — a long, thrilling traverse that takes us into the kingdom of the 4,000ers.

Our first objective is the Piramide Vincent (4,215 m), reached after a steady climb. From here, we descend slightly to the Balmenhorn (4,167 m), where we stand before the iconic statue of the Christ of the Peaks.

Next, the challenge intensifies as we take on the steep Schwarzhorn (Corno Nero, 4,321 m). After a technical descent, we continue on to the graceful dome of Ludwigshöhe (4,341 m) and the dramatic ridge leading up to Parrotspitze (4,432 m).

The final stretch takes us to a place like no other: the Regina Margherita Hut, the highest hut in Europe, perched on top of Signalkuppe (4,554 m). Here, surrounded by glaciers and sky, we end our epic day with a well-earned dinner and a night above the clouds.

Day 3

Altitude difference: 1,300 m
Ascent/descent time: 4–5 hours

After breakfast at the Regina Margherita Hut, we gear up once more and step out into the thin morning air.
A short but steep descent from Signalkuppe leads us back onto the glacier plateau, where our final goal awaits: the majestic Zumsteinspitze (4,563 m) — our seventh and final 4,000-meter peak.

From the summit, we take a moment to look back at the incredible journey we've made.
Then begins the long, scenic descent across the vast Lys Glacier, surrounded by towering summits and endless snowfields.

Reaching Punta Indren, we board the cable car that gently carries us back down to the valley — tired, proud, and forever changed by the mountains.
